Helen Ellingson

I have recently moved to Lynden and become an active member of the
Lynden Music Teachers Association.  However I have been actively
involved in music making and teaching since 1968.

Teaching seems to be in my blood as a public school teacher and
operating my own private studio in a variety of states.

My piano experience began as a young child and progressed through
college with a BS degree in Elementary Education and Music Education
in 1971.  I have been accompanist for numerous small and large groups
and have been church organist in the past.

I am presently taking beginning and early intermediate students from
ages seven, youth, adult and seniors.

I am intrigued with how music playing and reading enhances the brain
development in children and its overall healthy effect during a lifetime.
