My goal as a piano teacher is to instill a love of music in my students as well as a solid foundation of musical skills. Traditionally, my studios have been fun and innovative, giving students opportunities to interact with each other and learn in group environments. As an instructor of all ages and abilities, my piano studio consists of 60 minute private weekly lessons, combined with computer lab time, monthly group lessons and monthly piano labs. I received my BA in Music and History with an emphasis in Piano Pedagogy from Whitworth College in Spokane, WA Since then I have studied the organ privately at the Konstanze Kirche, Germany, the United States Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis, MD, and St. Paul‚s Episcopal Church in Bellingham, WA. I am a Nationally Certified member of the Music Teachers National Association, and locally I serve the Lynden Chapter of Washington State Music Teachers Association as the Adjudications Chair.
